1. Use fewer, simpler products.
2. Don't trust claims like "dermatologist-tested," "natural," or "organic." Read the ingredient label instead.
3. Take label warnings seriously. They indicate hazardous chemicals.
4. Look up your products' reviews at EWG's www.cosmeticdatabase.com (Side note...if you look up something Burt's Bees in the database they will have some bad numbers due to the fact that the database lumps all fragrances together synthetic or natural. But Burt's does use natural fragrance.)
